I must not be the only one excited about this new movie that is coming from Paramount Pictures. After reading about it, I readily wanted to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online. The excitement came from a lot of factors. I got excited to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online because in an article about the movie, it was likened to the supernatural series: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I would like to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online to see if it is really similar to that. I am a self-confessed Buffy fan. Any similarity to this beloved series would be very much welcome because I miss the series already. Another reason why I would like to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online is the fact that it is very gory and full of action scenes.
Parents should know that the movie is not for young kids. It is not in any way, related to the children’s story. If they ever decide to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online, they should be careful with their kids. They might get the wrong idea about the fairy tale. I am really very excited to Watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters online. It actually reminds me of the existing series, Supernatural wherein two brothers are in a mission to help protect people from the evil supernatural entities. I think it is similar in the sense that both duos are siblings and that they both hunt all sorts of supernatural evil.
The movie is a continuation of the Grimm Brothers fairy tale. It was set 15 years after their horrible experience with the wicked witch who tried to kill them. After the experience, the siblings evidently developed a penchant for killing forces of evil. According to an article about the movie, the siblings are incredibly invincible to simple evil magic cast to them. They may have developed immunity to such spells from their previous encounter with an evil witch.
In this version of the story, the siblings were hired by the mayor of Augsburg to hunt down a witch. The witch is set to sacrifice a lot of children in the town for the coming Blood Moon. The conflict in the story does not end there. The Blood Moon is coming in 2 days’ time and the local sheriff is doing his own hunting which causes delay on the side of the two.
The siblings are both wrapped in cool fighting outfits. Gretel looks like a warrior princess in her leather outfit while Hansel is sporting a dark knight kind of outfit. The movie is a bit unorthodox in the field of fairy tales.
In the film are Jeremy Renner who played the role of the adult Hansel, Gemma Arterton played the role of Gretel, Famke Janssen was cast to play the role of the evil witch and Peter Stormare played the role of the sheriff Berringer. Also in the film are Derek Mears and Monique Ganderton.
The film will be shown on January 25, 2013.
